Dzongkar Choede does not collect personal information about the people who visit this website, beyond what you choose to give us yourself.

You can read every page here without telling us anything. There is no account to create, no profile being assembled, and nothing you need to hand over in order to look around.

What we collect, and when

We hold personal information only when you send it to us, and only for the purpose you sent it for.

When you write to us through the contact form, we receive what you filled in: your name, your email address, and your message, along with any other details you chose to add. We use them to read your message and to reply to it.

When you ask to stay informed, we receive your name and email address, and we use them to send you what you asked for. Every message we send includes a way to stop receiving them, and you can also simply write and tell us. We will not add you to anything you did not ask for.

If you make a donation, the payment itself is handled by our payment provider, not by this website. We never see or store your card or bank details.

What we do with it

We read it, we act on it, and we keep it so that we can follow up.

We do not sell it. We do not trade it. We do not use it to advertise to you, and we do not build a profile of you.

Who else sees it

Information you send us stays within the monastery. We share it with no one outside, unless we are required to by law.

To run the website at all we rely on a small number of service providers — the company that hosts the site, the service that delivers our email, and, if you donate, our payment provider. They handle your information only in order to provide that service to us, and are not permitted to use it for anything of their own.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful to the matter you wrote about. If you ask us to delete what we hold about you, we will do so, unless we are required to keep it.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever enable visitor statistics, we will ask your permission first, and the site will work exactly the same if you decline.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will deal with it.
